I’m Karly, a senior copywriter and comedy writer currently living in Brooklyn, NY. Before that, I lived in Atlanta. Before that, I lived in North Carolina. And before that, I lived in my mom. That’s her in the denim and that’s me in the pink pants.
Before joining Martin, I spent time at Droga5, Mother New York and FIG, making stuff for clients like Chase, Mailchimp, Target, Virgin Voyages, Children’s Hospital Colorado and Benjamin Moore.
My comedy writing has appeared in various internet places like McSweeney’s, The Belladonna Comedy, Points in Case and Weekly Humorist, and I’ve been lucky enough to study comedy at The Second City and The PIT.
I’ve also served as a teacher, mentor and reviewer-of-portfolios to ad students across the country through programs like The Workshop, Miami Ad School, Creative Circus, MAIP and good ol’ email.
When I’m done with all that, you can find me reading menus before going to restaurants, perusing the farmer’s market, reading books in the park and generally being an 85 year old woman.
